As a consumer product expert I review a lot of products. This simple solution I just discovered is a life changer. They are called levears earring lifts. Just bought a package the other day and they are so easy to use. IF you have an issue with earrings drooping this is the must have product to try. I think fall is here in Boston finally! We went from 80 to 40 degrees in a flash. Rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week so boo hoo! You all know I love summer – beach time, warm weather, vacations! But I also love fall as well – everything from pumpkin spice, pumpkins, apple cider donuts – yum!
I started on my fall decorating. Years ago I switched to a white and gold theme and did get rid of most of the orange color. I know, I know I use too much white in my décor so I switched it up with a bit of grey. Do you know how hard it is to find grey pumpkins?? Here is a close up of some of the décor I used.
Fall is also a perfect time for travel! We hope to get to NYC, Quebec and London! Stay tuned for the next adventure.

We have a new pup! With that comes a lot of responsibility, training and our course treats too. You may have seen photos of my Brady and heard the story- the dog we rescued from the shelter 5 years ago. The shelter said he was two and a cairn terrier and when we took him to my vet she said, “sorry to say he is about 8 or 10 YEARS OLD and more of a border terrier mixed with who knows what!” He was my baby and we loved him and it was very hard to say goodbye in June (which we think he was 15 then!) I was very traumatized by having to make the decision and said never again will I go through that. But here we are several months later with a “lab” rescue. This time around the shelter said she is a one year old and a lab mix. My vet seems to think she is about 6 months and a black mouth cur! Anyway we are blessed to have a sweet rescue who is now safe and happy in her new home.
But boy do we need a lot of chew toys. The first several toys we got she destroyed and that is why I was so happy Bully Make sent me a sample of their a dog subscription box for big chewers! Do I dare say next week is August? Well it is! Can you believe it?? Where has the summer gone? Between our beach trips, swim and dive season and outings I can’t catch my breath! But that is a good thing as we all try to squeeze in a bit of fun before the summer season ends.
We do have two summer birthday in this house so it makes mid-July a bit crazy! Dive and Swim All-Stars are the same week as the girls’ birthdays and whenever we can, we try to do a beach trip. I am starting to see some ads for back to school and pumpkin festivals – HOLD ON – we are still in July! Let’s enjoy the summer please! Here are a few photos on our adventures this summer. Summer is in full swing and cannot believe 4th of July has come and gone. Lots of beach trips for us and we just came back from a week’s vacation on the cape. #CapeCod is one place that we visit each year. It is family time and sometimes our friends join us which makes going out to dinner and day trips very fun. One trip we love to take is to Provincetown. A beautiful day filled with shopping, lunch (at the Lobster Pot) and a fun game of croquet (who would have thought we were good at it!) made for a fun, family vacation. Here are just a few photos!

I am always on the look out for compact items. Especially solids that fit into a beach bag or a carry on for airlines. Sunscreen is especially hard to find in a natural solid. I am partial to zinc or titanium dioxide which are more natural. I am so glad Babo Botanicals sent me a couple of their summer items to test out. Babo Botanicals is a company on a mission to offer pure, safe, organic solutions for babies and kids. I use all their products as they are great for adults too. I especially love the shampoo/body wash combos as you only need to pack one bottle when traveling.
We really need to protect our lips from the sun. What I don’t like is an all white zinc lip balm or ones that have color and that color gets all goopy and all over your lips making you look like a clown! Trust me many of them do. This is in my bag at all times!
