I just love travel size products. Not only are they necessary when you travel but they are a great way to test out products you just are not sure about.  I found some of my favorite products the other day in travel sizes (my kids squealed when t hey saw them as they are cute in the smaller version)

My older daughter loves this shampoo and conditioner from Organix, especially the coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. She also loves the tea tree mint. I was so excited when I saw them in the travel size.  I had no idea they had a body line as well so we’ll have to test it out!

Even Fairy Tales has a travel size.  The kids are ok with me spraying the Rosemary Repel Leave-In Spray and now with the 2oz travel size I can take it with me anywhere. Hello…you will be spraying the back of the head rest on the plane with this stuff!

I was so happy with my purchases and then I discovered this great site - 3Floz.com. It is the go to site for all your favorite brands in travel size items. What I love most is they have these ready-made kits to go. What a great concept!

I may have to get the Ole Henriksen starter kit and the PHYTO Petite-Smooth and Sleek Kit. So whether you are hitting the gym or traveling for a girls’ weekend you can choose The Spa Week Traveling Beauty Kit, the Kate’s Perfect Faux Tan Kit or the Back Pack Survival Kit. Ready..to..go.

The site even has an under $10 section so before you head anywhere check it out!

My travel size purchases

What do these have in common? Beside being on the list of my must have’s this summer season they are all going in my summer tote bag for the pool and beach!

Our friends at Kiss My Face sent us the sunscreen items to review.

I am a bit behind on my trends.  Pantone named Honeysuckle the Color of the Year for 2011.  Just now it’s everywhere – in makeup, in clothes, in home decor.

It’s a pinky orange or as the Pantone web site says, “Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting” They are even offering a Pantone visa card so you can purchase all those lovely Honeysuckle items.

You know we love any pink!  If you don’t want to go full blown with a dress or shirt try a scarf or makeup like the following:

My favorite line of nail polish is OPI and of course they had to have the latest trendy color. This fun pink color is called Party in my Cabana.

We love Bloom cosmetics and their lip color called Honeysuckle is just great.

Kate Spade has a cute scarf with white and pink that will perk up anyone’s pasty skin this season.

There are just a few items.

This great blog called the plastic diaries did a fantastic blog post on this color and it was just so comprehensive and chock full of fun stuff so check it out!

What’s in for spring for make-up? Lots of things!  Colorful eye makeup, shimmery shades of nail polish and bright lipsticks are in.  But my favorite trend in makeup is the glossy, chunky lip pencil. These fat pencils act like a bit of a lip stick but have the shine of a gloss. They are easy to apply and every makeup line seems to have one. Here are a few favorites.

Clinique’s pencil is called the Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm.  For $15.00 you can try the latest trend. These are extremely moisturizing with a bit of shine. Mega Mellon is a nice shade.

Nars has one called the Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil.  They come in six shades and each has Vitamin E. Cost is $24.00. My favorite shade is Frivolous which is a iridescent pink shade.

Tarte is my go to makeup line as their makeup contains more natural ingredients. Their Lip Surgence Natural Lip Tint is based on their fantastic cheek stains. The company says you’ll see an increase in lips moisture content after using for 28 days, so it’s like an extra bonus.  Amused is a bright pink which is perfect for this season and is $24.00.

It’s a pencil, it’s a lipstick, it’s a gloss all in one!
