Yeah neither can I….. I so wanted to but it’s a busy time of year for the kids. I can live through other bloggers and check out the latest news from them. We are in our back to school mode but my kids are not excited about homework. That is until they saw the homework box. “What’s that and can I use it?” “That looks cool” were the responses I received from my 7 and 10 year old. When I told them it was to help them stay organized with their homework they thought it was cool.
Moms Made Easysent us one to review and we love it. If it comes time for homework in your house and there is always a delay of, where’s my pencil, stapler, etc.etc. well now there is no more excuses to not be organized with this homework organizing system. Check out my video review.
I just love travel size products. Not only are they necessary when you travel but they are a great way to test out products you just are not sure about. I found some of my favorite products the other day in travel sizes (my kids squealed when t hey saw them as they are cute in the smaller version)
My older daughter loves this shampoo and conditioner from Organix, especially the coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. She also loves the tea tree mint. I was so excited when I saw them in the travel size. Â I had no idea they had a body lineas well so we’ll have to test it out!
Even Fairy Tales has a travel size. The kids are ok with me spraying the Rosemary Repel Leave-In Spray and now with the 2oz travel size I can take it with me anywhere. Hello…you will be spraying the back of the head rest on the plane with this stuff!

So everyone knows bright colors are in this fall and Hollywood certainly showed off color last night at the Emmy awards. There was a ton of red and other bold colors choices.
hmm…..who was my favorite? Of course everyone was talking about Sophia Vergara’s coral Vera Wang number and her accessories were pretty cool. Lea Michele looked spectacular in red as well in a cowl-backed, rosette-shouldered Marchesa gown as did Nina Dobrev in a Donna Karan strapless dress.
But I loved Kate Winslet and thought she looked fab in an Elie Saab gown with Cartier diamonds. We’ll see if the fashion critics agree! Tune in to any night time entertainment show this evening and you can view the wrap up or go online to ET or E!
So I hear a lot about this couponing thing. Yes, I have watched the TLC show and yes they save a ton of money but they also have a ton of stuff. Not sure I can jump on the bandwagon for the supermarket but I do love a good retail fashion coupon now and then!  Especially for the kids – why can’t every store be like Justice and send 40% off all the time?? So onto my find for the day… It is this adorable cream outfit I bought and thought I would stash it away for a special, dressy occassion. With my Gap rewards coupon it only cost me $1.75! There are sequins everywhere this season on everything so I had to grab something sparkly!
So the other day I took the trip to Target to check out the new Missoni Line. I actually wrote it on my calendar to make sure I arrived on the early side. Apparently 10:00 am was too late. The women’s clothing options were slim and you would see women running around frantically with tons of items from the line in their carts! I liked some of the clothing items and the kids’ line is just adorable. If you go on online there are some smaller items available but most are sold out. Some people think the zig zag pattern is out of control; others think it’s brillant. What do you think?  I like the more sedated accessories. I snagged this sweater as I just loved the look of it. It is from the kids’ line but fits me fine.
I broke down…..we now have a ginnea pig. My kids have been begging for a dog and we almost got one over the summer. Long story… but I put in a deposit and dealt with a wierdo breeder who I guess just needed to make $ off of the small litter so we were not chosen to receive the puppy. So anyway….here comes summer and we’re not home anyway to take care of a puppy and my babysitter was heading to college and was looking for someone to take her 3 year old ginnea pig. I have to admit I was thinking a big rat…. but she really is kinda cute and makes these cooing noises. She looks just like a zhu zhu pet. I did not realize however that she sheds ALOT so I hope I am not allergic to her! She also poops alot too – note to self…really research a pet before you agree to take it!
The kids are enjoying her and I thought it would be a good test for them to take care of a live creature but it is weird to have a live, furry animal in the house when you have never had one before. Besides the cute cooing the other night I was like, WHAT is that noise coming from downstairs? A big bug, a mouse? Oh wait we have a ginnea pig! I guess I have to get used to the pet noises now!
